Tropical Wedding in St. Thomas

Purchased from Allure Bridal Boutique, "Ophira" is a sleeveless Alencon lace on tulle over satin trumpet gown with hand-beaded scalloped lace shoulder straps. Which truth be told, is our favorite part! See close-up shot below. Natalie had a destination wedding in St. Thomas, beautifully captured by Rebecca Ruth Photography. The bride's story:

"As a child, I had visited St. Thomas quite a few times. I LOVED the island. I always knew I wanted a wedding overlooking the water but not on the sand and I knew St. Thomas would be a stunning location with the beautiful mountains and lush landscaping. Thankfully, St. Thomas also had a synagogue (it's the oldest running synagogue under the U.S. Flag!), so it was really the perfect place to get married. Caleb and I were able to visit a year before the wedding to pick out a wedding venue. We fell in love with a botanical garden that overlooks the whole island. Of course, all weddings need some curve balls and ours was Hurricane Irma and Maria. The Virgin Islands got hit hard. Somehow, our venue was still standing with little damage after the storms. We felt so fortunate to be able to get married exactly where we wanted to. The people on the island were so sweet and kept thanking us for having our wedding on the island and not canceling. Our venue was beautiful on its own so we decided to keep it simple for our evening Jewish wedding. We wanted to give our guests an elegant tropical wedding experience and it was everything I could have ever imagined. The day after the wedding, our family friend who lives on the island took us to the hospital, so we could give sick patients the flowers from our wedding. It was one of the most humbling experiences I have ever had. We wanted to give back to the island that was so kind to open their arms and let us have our wedding there."
