“Our wedding was on November 5 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The theme of the wedding was metallic… primarily shades of gold. This was all inspired when I tried on the “Cassidy” by Sophia Tolli. The beading, the flow, the color almond… everything was exquisite! As soon as I said “yes” to the dress, the ideas of our entire wedding began coming into place.
Since we were doing shades of gold, I added in touches of wheat from my grandfather’s farm. The wheat was spray painted gold and put into the bouquets and floral centerpieces. We also used the wheat element for our programs, menus, and seating chart. The wheat was so very meaningful to me and it truly completed the look we wanted for our wedding.
Our ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Since I am a first grade teacher at a local catholic school, our school choir performed at the ceremony. Having 40 of my former students, “my kids”, there brought tears to my eyes to hear their angelic voices as I walked down the aisle.
The reception took place at The Pinery. The views of Colorado Springs are gorgeous and we loved everything about the all- inclusive venue.
It was a dream of a day, and many thanks goes to Bridal Elegance in Colorado Springs where I found the dress of my dreams, and my husband also found his suit. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Also, thank you to Sophia Tolli for her superb craftsmanship; it inspired our whole wedding!”
