“Our sparkling winter wedding took place on the 30th of December. We picked this date not only due to my love for winter weddings, but because my sweet husband is a fighter jet pilot in the military and we always knew a holiday wedding would be in the cards for us. For the color palette, I wanted a combination of sparkle and icy tones to complement the winter season. I ended up choosing sparkling silver and white as the primary colors with a pop of plum added for the reception. To go with the sparkling silver theme, I chose the Sophia Tolli Novella gown from Bridal Beginning. Its beaded bodice, sleeves, and sparkling layer underneath the soft tulle made for the perfect winter wedding gown.
Our ceremony was held at the church I grew up going to. The church was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season which added a special touch to our ceremony. The night before our wedding a fresh layer of snow fell on the ground which provided the perfect landscape for our photos. While it was cold and windy (we passed around hand warmers and wore shrugs but were still shivering!) the snow was swirling around us and it truly felt as if we were in a snow globe. I couldn’t have asked for a better day to marry the man of my dreams, surrounded by so much love. It was the perfect start of forever.”
