Va Va Va Voom!! Wow this bride is beautiful AND sexy! We think this dress was made with her in mind! Melanie is wearing Sophia Tolli “Morrigan” style Y11642, a strapless asymmetrically draped shimmer and satin fit and flare gown. She looks simply perfect from her dress and updo to her earrings and deep pink lip. Melanie shared her photographs with us and penned this sweet story below. You won’t want to skip over her story or her photos!
“Let me just start by saying, I’m kind of ballsy. I chased my now husband across the street one Friday evening in downtown Delray Beach, Florida. It was January of 2016. While out with my best friend I noticed his brightly colored socks and felt completely compelled to run across a busy intersection to speak to him. I should also mention that the man is simply gorgeous and has a smile that can light up any room. I approached him (somewhat out of breath) and said “Excuse me, did someone get those socks for you, or did you buy them yourself?” he replied with “I bought them myself.” Needless to say, we were immediately intrigued by the other. After taking me on a proper date the following night, he said: “Melanie, I don’t want to freak you out, but I’m 90% sure I’m going to marry you.” With a twitter-pated heart, I told him that I felt the same. In some way I will never understand, I knew I was going to marry him that first night we met. A year later, he whisked me away to Italy to celebrate our first year of dating. He popped the question romantically on a bridge in Venice. Want to know what socks he was wearing? You guessed it. He calls them his “Lucky” socks (which I totally agree with).
To add even more romance to our tale; on April 28th 1951, my grandparents were married. The same day 67 years later, I married Trey, the love of my life. Not only do we share a wedding date with my late grandparents, we were married with the same wedding band she wore the day she married my grandfather. Trey was, of course, wearing his lucky socks. As the saying goes, when you know, you know. That saying rang true for us both.”
“We were married outside in the garden at the Royal Poinciana Chapel in Palm Beach. The wedding took place under a giant, historic Kapoc tree at dusk with the sun setting over the intracoastal waterway. My wedding gown was Sophia Tolli Morrigan that I purchased at Bellissima Bridal in Deerfield Beach, FL. It was the most beautiful gown I have ever seen! THAT TRAIN OMG. Trey and I wrote our own vows. Our gift to our guests were bright colored happy socks (of course). Our theme revolved around my bouquet; the flowers were bright with pink and purple peonies, sunset roses, and blue delphiniums. I felt that a bright colored bouquet would easily represent the colorful life we live all because of Treys’ colorful socks.”
