David Tutera for Mon Cheri Head Designer Martin Thornburg couldn’t wait to reveal his favorite wedding dress trends for 2014 – and we have them here first! According to Martin, a major trend for wedding dresses 2014 is the cage dress. This slimming beauty features a softly shaped mermaid satin dress that’s slim on the body with soft lace overlay on top.

A great example of this popular style is David Tutera for Mon Cheri style 113211. It shapes the body from underneath and brides of all sizes can wear it! What’s also exciting about the cage dress is that it’s now being offered in more colors. From lush pink to silver ice, the cage dress has returned this season with its undeniable fit and trendy color options.

After an overwhelming response from voters, co-anchor of 6ABC Action News Philadelphia Alicia Vitarelli decided to wear three different Tony Bowls gowns throughout her 85^th Academy Awards red-carpet coverage this past weekend. On Friday, February 22,2013, Alicia wore Tony Bowls Evenings dress style TBE11324 in Red. Also available in White, this jersey evening gown with three-quarter sleeves features crystal trim and a slim skirt with a center front slit and back godets.

For her coverage on Sunday, February 24, Alicia wore two different one-of-a-kind Tony Bowls gowns. During the 6pm/EST telecast, Alicia wore her viewer’s top choice – a strapless sweetheart fully hand-beaded modified mermaid gown. During the 11pm/EST telecast, she wore another fully beaded slim gown with a sweetheart neckline. Reminiscent of an Oscar statue, this gold-hued gown also featured a single cap sleeve and sweep train. Alicia Vitarelli, co-anchor of 6ABC Action News at 4pm/EST, had an exclusive one-on-one style consultation with Mon Cheri designer Martin Thornburg to find the perfect gown for her red-carpet coverage of the 85^th Academy Awards on Sunday, February 24, 2013. In this news segment, Martin helped Alicia narrow down her search to seven dresses, four of which were created by fellow Mon Cheri designer Tony Bowls. 6ABC viewers were invited to vote for the gown Alicia should wear to the Oscars. After an overwhelming response from voters, Alicia decided to wear three different gowns throughout her red-carpet coverage, all of which were designed by Tony Bowls!
